‘In the Future They Ate From the Finest Porcelain’ resides at the cross section of science fiction, archeology and politics. The film explores the role of myths in shaping history, facts and national identity. A resistance group buries underground deposits of elaborate porcelain for future archeologists to excavate. Their aim is to influence history and support future claims to their vanishing lands.
