The future belongs to the moving image

Since 2013 the B3 Biennial of the Moving Image has shaped the interdisciplinary and transnational debate on trends and developments relating to the moving image in the fields of art, cinema, TV, games, design, communication and immersion. The aim of the Biennial is to create a broad interdisciplinary alliance for the moving image, and offer the international culture and creative industry a platform for innovation and exchange.

The B3 is divided into the three event modules Parcours, Festival and Campus/Market:

  • At the B3 Festival important representatives from the fields of art, film/TV, games, Web, virtual- and augmented reality and robotics will enter into an open dialog, and present themselves and their projects.
  • In the B3 Parcours museums and cultural institutions from the Rhine-Main region will show exhibitions and projects addressing the key topic.
  • The B3 Campus/Market offers national and international professionals, start up’s and students involved in the media a platform for establishing and cultivating contacts, but also swapping know-how and experiences.

The B3 Biennial of the Moving Image is organized by Offenbach University of Art and Design (HfG). B3 is supported by the Hessen Ministry of Higher Education, Research and the Arts (HMWK), the Hessische Landesanstalt für privaten Rundfunk and neue Medien (LPR Hessen) and the City of Frankfurt/Main.
