B3 China

In autumn 2016 the Biennial presented its work during Beijing Design Week, one of the most important creative events in Asia. In the joint exhibition of B3 and the “Beijing Media Art Biennale 2016 (BMAB) “B3 + BMAB” 60 Chinese and international contemporary artists showed works on the exhibition topic “Ethics of Technology”. Also attending were B3 prizewinners Candice Breitz (South Africa), Richard Mosse (Ireland), Yves Netzhammer (Switzerland) and Federico Solmi (USA), who enthused: “It's a beautiful exhibition focus on video art, with high profile artist such as Gary Hill, Richard Mosse, Candice Breitz, and it's part of the Beijing Media Art Biennale, (BMAB + B3). I had great time in China.”
In addition, a long-term cooperation agreement was arranged with the College of Design and Innovation of Tongji University in Shanghai. The idea: both to promote the presentation of modern Chinese film and media art in Beijing and in Germany, and also to establish the B3 brand in Asia.
